LELO started in 2003 in Stockholm, where three designers coalesced at the right place and time with precisely the right idea. That idea would eventually reshape and transcend the confines of an entire industry, beginning with a simple question:
What if our most intimate items were made as beautiful as the ones we displayed with the most pride?
LILY™ - first LELO pleasure device
LILY™ initiated the sudden increase in demand for elegant and efficient concepts and started a revolution in sex toy design, feeding the collective desire for more beautiful intimate objects. Today, with offices from Shanghai to San Jose, LELO’s story is inseparably entwined with the changing sexual landscape.
2014 - Cannes Lions design award
2014 saw the launch of ORA™ oral sex simulator, the first pleasure product to win a Cannes Lions design award. We also introduced Lily Cup™ Compact, the first collapsible menstrual cup on the market.
2016 - The condom revolution
We launched our innovative HEX™ condom brand in 2016, representing LELO's expansion into the safety products category. Introducing the famous hexagonal structure that is textured on the inside for a better grip, LELO HEX™ is the condom the world has waited for 70 years.
2018 - 2021
In this period, we've introduced several revolutionary products, starting with Ziggy Cup™, the first menstrual disc for mess-free intimacy, in 2018. The following year, we launched F1S™ pleasure console, awarded the most innovative male sex toy of 2019 by XBiz. 2020 saw the launch of SILA™ sonic clitoral massager, followed by the now legendary dual stimulator ENIGMA™ in 2021.
